Michelle Lee studied at MIT and Stanford, worked in tech for years, and is now the amazingly inspiring director of the USPTO where she is working hard to encourage anyone to build and patent cool stuff. It was a fun interview with a fascinating subject.
I had a great time talking to Neal Stephenson, author of SevenEves. He’s a fascinating writer and his book is really good. Take a look. Now that I’ve interviewed him and William Gibson I’ve completed my collection of great cyberpunk authors and can die happy.
John Sundman is on parr with Bruce Sterling and William Gibson in future-telling and he sat down with me for a few minutes at Disrupt in Brooklyn to talk about the future of nanobots, CRISPR, and genetic engineering.
Another day, another hour-long discussion of bitcoin and blockchain on the main stage of one of the biggest and most interesting shows in the world. This time I’m with the Winklevosses at SXSW where we talk about block size, the future of cryptocurrency, and their odd genetic quirks.
These are always fun. I got to talk to three of the smartest blockchain minds in the world about BTC vs. blockchain. I always learn more than I expected and come away humbled at these brainiacs.
Monsters I say!
I had the unique privilege of interviewing William Gibson this year. Gibson is my favorite author and, quite literally, the reason I got into writing. It’s my squee moment and was really important to me. It’s a great interview – except for a little audio trouble. Check it out.
